Hannah Laine

A rich, colorful, and deeply moving R & B Jazz experience

Hannah Laine is a Michigan-born singer-songwriter, pianist and loop artist. Laine was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to music-loving parents who immersed her in the sounds of Simon and Garfunkel, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Fleetwood Mac, and Heart, amongst others. She began singing and songwriting at a young age, taking inspiration from her father, who is also a professional singer and guitarist. Hannah started playing piano when she was 8 years old. Over many years of lessons, she learned the language of music and developed the ability to translate the songs in her head to piano and accompany her own voice. She shared her voice frequently, singing in the church band with her father, singing in school choirs and musicals, and eventually performing her own music. The music that we hear from her today is an authentic expression of her soul that is rich, colorful, and deeply moving.

Over the past decade, Laine has shared the stage with many respected artists including Kevin Garrett, The Crane Wives, The Accidentals, Brandon Coleman, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow
Seekers, The Go Rounds, Seth Bernard, Lady Ace Boogie, Desmond Jones, Jordan Hamilton, Scott Pellegrom, Tim Palmieri (Lotus), Michael Travis (String Cheese Incident), and Joel Cummins (Umphrey’s McGee).
