The Franke Center Youth Theater is thrilled to announce their Kindergarten-5th grade show- Trolls Jr! Below you will find some information that will help you register and prepare for auditions!
Trolls JR. is based on the irreverent DreamWorks Animation movie franchise and features a colorful, wondrous world populated by hilariously unforgettable characters. The show follows the overly optimistic Trolls, constantly with a song on their lips, and the comically pessimistic Bergens, who are only happy when they have Trolls in their stomach.
The Troll thespians in Poppy’s company live by their motto: the show must go on. But when a tyrannical foreign emissary arrives in Bergenland, expectations are raised, forcing the Trolls to totally rework their show or risk being served up in the name of diplomacy by a Chef rehired and out for revenge.
This show is open to all youth going into grades Kindergarten thru 5th grade in the 2026-2027 school year.
Auditions will be held at The Franke Center on the following dates-
Audition Learning Day – Monday, August 17th
Kindergarten- (will not return on Audition Day- they will be evaluated August 17th only) 4:30-5:00 pm
1st-2nd Grade- 5:00-6:15 pm
3rd-5th Grade- 6:30-7:45 pm
Audition Day – Wednesday, August 19th
1st-2nd Grade- 4:30-5:45 pm
3rd-5th Grade- 6:00-7:30 pm
Potential Call Backs will be on Thursday, August 20th at 5 pm.
Some key details to prepare for auditions:
All Auditioners MUST have filled out an application online before auditioning to secure their audition slot. There will be no walk ins accepted for auditions. The Audition Application can be found on Band and will open on July 11th at 10 am.
Performance Dates are October 22-25th.
** This season, due to continued high interest in our youth theater program, we are introducing an audition waitlist process for the first time. While we have not needed this system in previous years, we expect an overwhelming response to auditions. Many surrounding theaters have found it to be an effective process, and it is the best way to accommodate the size of our theater while reducing the likelihood of making heartbreaking cuts when audition turnout exceeds our capacity. Registration will open on July 11th at 10 am on Ludus website- more information on Band.
