Auditions for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are coming up on on March 18, 19, and 20 at The Franke.
The world-famous Willy Wonka is opening the gates to his mysterious factory…but only to a lucky few. Young Charlie Bucket and four other golden ticket winners will embark on a life-changing journey through Wonka’s world of pure imagination including chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels and the great glass elevator, all to be revealed by Wonka’s army of curious Oompa-Loompas.
There is a $10 registration fee (non-refundable) to audition. Everyone is required to bring a current, non-returnable photo. Scholarships are available upon request. If cast, there is an additional participation fee of $100.00 for each selected cast member.
Audition Schedule
*Auditions will take place at The Franke at 214 East Mansion Street, Marshall, MI 49068.
Audition materials will be taught on day one of the auditions. Everyone should plan on attending both days of auditions.
Audition Dates for students in 5th through 9th grades:
Tuesday, March 18 – Learning Day, 5-7pm
Each group will learn music, dance and acting in different areas of the building. Monologues and audition song will be taught.
Wednesday, March 19 – Audition Day
Due to high audition numbers, we will adjust day 2 (Wednesday) of the auditions to allow ample time.
All 5th and 6th graders will audition from 4:30-6:00 pm and all 7th, 8th, and 9th graders will audition from 6:00-7:30 pm.
Please let the Producer know if you have a conflict
All students will perform the audition song, dance and a monologue.
Thursday, March 20th
Call backs may be needed. Both students and their guardians will be notified if student is asked to attend.
Rehearsals start Monday, April 7th and will be Monday through Friday from 4:30-7pm. Individuals rehearsal schedule varies per role.
Show dates May 15-18th. (Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2:30pm)
