The Franke Center After School Club is a new after-school program for middle school students located in The Franke Center for the Arts downstage space. Participating students can choose to engage in self-led interest groups in areas of the arts including acting, reading, writing, music, songwriting, storytelling, poetry and more. Or if they prefer not to participate in an interest group, students can spend their time studying, playing games, or interacting with friends. Three days per week, tutors will be on hand to help with homework. Arts interest groups will receive the support of Franke Center staff and occasional visits from experts in their fields of interest, including professional authors, poets, musicians, artists, playwrights, theater directors, professors, and more. At the end of the year, students may choose to present their work at a showcase event at The Franke.
Make after school more than just a time to hang out. Use it for fun, learning, and developing new interests!
Rates are flexible to fit families’ ever-changing schedules, and scholarships for financial need will be considered upon request.
